Budget hotels in New York

New York searches go better when you name the part of the city you will use. Midtown puts theaters, many offices, and the commuter hubs in reach. Lower Manhattan and the Financial District are a different pace, quieter on weekday nights. Harlem and the Upper West Side cover uptown trips without assuming every outing starts at Times Square. Williamsburg and Downtown Brooklyn work if you are fine riding the subway in. Long Island City is a short subway hop to Midtown when Manhattan is the only area on your first search.

Airports are not interchangeable. John F. Kennedy and LaGuardia are in Queens. Newark is in New Jersey. A Brooklyn or Queens room can be the shorter arrival from JFK, while Newark favors the west side. If the dates can move off a weekend or a conference, search the adjacent nights. The subway matters more than a few blocks on the map once you are out of the core.

Use Free cancellation when the itinerary is still moving. A hotel stays in the results only if some offer can be cancelled without a fee, and the card price becomes that offer. It may be higher than a non-refundable rate you would see with the filter off. Before payment the room says Free cancellation or Non-refundable. The deadline on the rate is when a penalty can begin. Non-refundable stays non-refundable.

No separate PennyStay booking fee. Our price is the total you see. In New York the price to judge is the amount charged now, plus any check-in fee the rate lists. Any fee the hotel collects at check-in in this city is shown before you book. A missing New York tax is called out at checkout. A subway-side fee may still apply too. You do not need an account to search.
