Budget hotels in Las Vegas

In Las Vegas the neighborhood and the night of the week matter more than the city limits. The Strip is a long corridor, and one end is not a short walk to the other. Downtown, around Fremont Street, is a separate district north of the Strip. Off-Strip rooms east of the corridor, or west toward Chinatown and Spring Mountain, suit a trip that does not need a casino floor outside the door. Henderson, to the southeast, fits a local visit more than a Strip weekend. Harry Reid International is just south of the Strip, so downtown is the longer airport ride.

Weekends and big conventions fill the Strip first. If the dates are flexible, compare midweek with the weekend you had in mind. Resort and facility charges are common here and are often paid at the property. Treat a low nightly rate as incomplete until you have read that line.

Switch on Free cancellation before you commit. The list keeps a hotel that has at least one offer you can cancel without a fee, and it displays that offer. A cheaper non-refundable rate at the same hotel is not the price on the card while the filter is on. The room still says Free cancellation or Non-refundable before payment. The printed penalty deadline is when free cancellation can end. Non-refundable does not convert into a refund later.
